This is a really rough demo. It's so rough that I'm calling it my "this is me wearing my heart on my sleeve" demo. 99.9% of the time when I'm writing songs, all I do is pick up a guitar and just write the song in real time. I don't sit there and try and work up a verse or work on a chorus in isolation. I just write the thing from beginning to end. That said, after I press stop on the recorder, I'll listen to the song on repeat and try and figure out how I can make it better. The words are usually nonsense but I mostly try and focus on vocal melodies when I am writing music in real time.
This song will appear on an album I plan on releasing in the next couple of years called 'The Patient'. My friend Norma from Mexico City inspired the album title and Norma spent a long time going through a couple dozen of my demos to let me know what songs would be good on an album together. Norma has been a big supporter of No One Sphere and that really means a lot to me. I told her that if she wanted to choose the songs for the album, then I would be happy to have them tracked in the studio.
So yeah, here is my "this is me wearing my heart on my sleeve" demo. Please be kind.

Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.
